Annual Chimney InspectionsThe NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) states that every year a chimney that is being used should be inspected by a professional chimney sweep. Whether you have had one or fifty fires in your chimney it needs to be inspected. This inspection may or may not lead to a chimney sweeping. We'll look up your chimney, we'll look down your chimney, we'll even check inside your stove pipe. This may require a simple flashlight and mirror or may require our camera system. Either way, if there's an issue we will find it. Then, we will address it. Everything may be fine, good for another year. It may need to be swept. Or, maybe we find more serious issues, like cracks in your flue. But again, it is something that needs to be done. So, please have your chimney inspected at least once a year.
