Level II Inspection:
A level II Chimney Inspection is needed If there is cause to believe that there may be damage to the chimney. If upon performing a level I Chimney Inspection and visible damage is seen then a level II Chimney Inspection will be performed. If there are to be any changes in the use of your chimney, such as the type of fuel used or relining the flue, a level II Chimney Inspection is also needed. If you've had any sort of house fire or chimney fire, you will also need to have a level II Chimney Inspection. And lastly, if you are selling your property please have a level II Chimney Inspection. This is not only good for the seller, but the prospected buyer as well.
A level II Chimney Inspection is more in depth than a level I. It is more detailed and includes more. It includes all of the visual examinations of a level I Chimney Inspection. It also includes examining areas in the attic, basement, crawlspaces and other accessible areas of the home. Also including accessible portions of the appliances and chimney connections. A video camera or other similar devices may be used to examine the flue and look for cracks or any damage to  the chimney's structure. During this inspection there will be no removal of the structure or any permanent damage caused to the chimney.
